Well first off i would like to mostly apologize to my horsey. I am not a fan of winter at all, too cold for me. I must admit that i did spend about 10 Min's a day with her, so i shouldn't feel quite so bad. I did touch her and I am certain it has helped me tremendously. Not all is lost for me just yet. Last week. on Feb 16th play day was here and Sue S. played with Nigel, Keri played with Lidlebit, Sue L played with Poncho who she loves and I of course played with Freya. We had a great play time. In the end i got on and rode around a bit, it was so awesome, i didn't want to get off. When things are going good i don't want to push myself. Baby steps right. Lets see i think we played the usual. Circling, which we were a bit rusty on. Always lots of friendly. With the friendly i did extreme helicopter over her head and she really wasn't bothered which was a big change. We always play at the yo yo game and every time we are getting better. Maybe i am getting better and my leadership is coming out a bit more. Here's hoping. I am just so proud of us and how far we have come. I am looking forward to warmer weather and many more play days.
Hi Tabatha! What a wonderful picture of you and Freya! I know that undemanding time counts for a lot with our horses. You are making progress in many areas and doing well. Horsemanship is a challenge and you have determined to have fun while learning. Good for you! Yes, spring is coming and I can hardly wait until we can all be out trail riding together--no rush though, just whenever we are all ready and able!! Setting goals, right??
