Well....wow is about all i can say. I did it. I rode my horse, and can actually say i rode. I started out playing with Freya for quite awhile. I did a lot of things that i hadnt done or havent done in quite awhile. We worked on Figure 8's a little and she was wonderful, we did a little bit of yo-yo work and circles, she did really well on circles. The last time we worked on them we could only make it around half of the way and today when i did them she ended up going one and a half times around. When we were done playing it was time to go on. I didnt even need Sue to get on her first, that was a very big step for me. It was so nice having a bunch of girls there, because i could hide my nervousness and get on and just do it. I knew i was at the point where i had to do it. So the next step was to walk around the ring a couple of times and figure out if the order for the trail ride was going to work. My big girl gave me a bit of a scare because she kept creeping forward and ended up trying to kick Ginger, anyway then we headed out and it was amazing. I had such a good time. We ran into a bunch of baby Turkeys and a mom on the way back and I am not even sure she saw them, she was good. When we got back to the barnyard Freya did what she did when i came off of her twice, went sideways and was kind of skidish, i think it was because i was taking my foot out of the stirrup and i think it just caught her off gaurd, at least that is what i am telling myself well i managed to stay on and wheee, what a confidence booster to finally be back on my horse. That wonderful Marie, brought my girl home today and i am so excited to finally have her home and play with her a lot, we need to build our relationship again. WELCOME HOME GIRL
